About Us


Throughout our history as an independent nation, many Bahamians have left to be educated and work abroad. Bahamians have joined others from the Caribbean in making significant contributions in their resident countries in athletics, education, business, the arts, science and technology. LINK Bahamas was formed to focus on addressing the question of "How do we attract talented Bahamians back to The Bahamas?"

Specifically, the goals and objectives of LINK Bahamas include:

1. Promote dialogue on the opportunities and challenges with leveraging the skills, talents and networks of Bahamians living abroad and encourage some individuals to consider a return home

2. Develop an on-line community of Bahamians around the world which facilitates the exchange of information, ideas, career opportunities and other resources

3. Create and maintain a database/register of Bahamians living abroad

4. Act as a vehicle to channel input from Bahamians around the world on issues of national importance

5. Promote and support the successes of Bahamians abroad and others who choose to return home to make meaningful contributions

Through its programs, LINK Bahamas will engender national pride, encourage social networking, promote greater responsibility to our communities, and support the advancement of all Bahamians.
